On June 16th, 2022, a recent Expression of Interest draw was performed. The Prince Edward Island government in Canada invited 136 people from the EOI pool to apply for immigration to PEI. In the PEI PNP draw, invitations were given out for two types of immigration to Prince Edward Island: business and arts.
There were 9 invites issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur immigration stream, with a minimum point barrier of 65 points. In the Labor& Express Entry category, 127 invitations were given out with no minimum point requirements.
PNP Express Entry Category in PEI
The PEI PNP's Express Entry Category is a superior PNP, meaning it is linked to the federal government's Express Entry system. To be considered for this stream, immigrants must have a profile in the framework.
CRS points are awarded to eligible candidates based on their age, work experience, educational qualifications, and English or French language proficiency.

Express Entry is a service that monitors immigration applications to Canada. It processes applications for economic class migration programs such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates who receive a provincial nomination gain 600 points on the CRS and are almost guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in Canada in a later Express Entry draw.
To be considered for a provincial nomination in PEI, Express Entry applicants must first create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the PEI PNP.

Competitors are given a CRS score based on their age, professional experience, educational qualifications, and ability to communicate in English or French.

Impact on the Workforce
The Labour Impact Category is open to non-native Canadians with a valid work visa in Prince Edward Island and employer assistance. There are three options: skilled worker, critical worker, and international graduate. It is critical to submit an Expression of Interest in the Labour Impact Category in order to be considered for nomination to the PEI Legislature.
Category for Business Impact
To proceed with their applications, candidates in the Business Impact Category must achieve the provincial minimum score. Each drawing has a unique score. For today's draw, the PEI PNP sent out invites under the Work Permit Stream, which is for international entrepreneurs who want to own and run a firm on the island.
