Quebec Skilled Invitation Round Result July 2019


Quebec conducted two draws since the launch of the Arrima system. The province invited 950 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate. The result information was updated late on the Ministry of Immigration. The most recent Quebec draw was conducted on July 17 issuing 259 invitations to the candidates with an Expression of Interest profile and a valid job offer as well as foreign nationals who had to carry out duties in Quebec.

The first draw took place on July 14 that invited 691 applicants who had:

  • Their application for a Quebec Selection Certificate terminated on June 16, 2019, and was a temporary resident of Quebec when they had applied or
  • Their application for a Quebec Selection Certificate terminated on June 16, 2019, and was working or studying in Quebec at that time
  • An Arrima profile and filed an Expression of Interest with the Minister before Dec 17, 2019

The canceled applications had all been filed before Arrima was introduced in September 2018

To apply for Quebec immigration the skilled worker program must first submit an Expression of Interest through Arrima. The department reviews the applications and issue invitations to the candidates who meet specific criteria based on the province labour needs.
Number of invitations are expected between now and January 16, 2020.

Second Express Entry Draws Out Within Eight Days CRS Drops To 457

The Canadian Government conducted another Express Entry Draw in less than 8 days on Tuesday, August 20. A total of 3,600 invitations to apply for Canadian Permanent residence were issued to the candidates with CRS score of 457 and above.
This out of nowhere Tuesday draw saw the lowest minimum CRS score requirement since May 1. After September 8, 2015, this was the second Tuesday draw.
The Tuesday draw saw the tie-break rule where those candidates who have submitted their profiles before March 24, 2019, at 15:32:42 UTC having CRS 457 and above were invited to apply for permanent residence. 
The total invitations to apply so far in 2019 tally reaches to 56,200.

The total number of ITAs issued by IRCC since July 10 is 3,600. However, January 30 and June 26 draw saw 3,350 ITAs. This means past four draws have invited 250 more applicants than most of the draws held this year.

The province of Ontario conducted new occupation-specific draw held 15 August 2019 inviting 997 applicants to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through its Human Capital Priorities Stream. The CRS cut-off score in this draw ranges between 439 and 465. The selected candidates who received an invitation have work experience in one of 10 occupations listed below.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program draw targeted 10 occupations are:

  • Corporate Sales Managers (0601)
  • Professional Occupations in business management consulting (1122)
  • Advertising, Marketing and Public Relation Managers (0124)

The selected candidates under these occupations do not require a job offer to receive a notification of interest.
