New Important PNP Changes in Manitoba Immigration Process

The Manitoba province is introducing important changes to its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) this November. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) will change the way immigration applications are processed for skilled workers and international students.

Therefore, this is to inform that the province of Manitoba has announced some changes to the MPNP Renewal. With this announcement, Manitoba province has delayed the Human Capital Stream and now it is speculated to be open in February 2019 instead of November 2018.

Additionally, the two new streams under International Graduate Stream have officially opened two new pathways and will soon open another pathway before the end of November.

The immigration pathways have been introduced for international graduates of post-secondary institutions in the province. 




The International Student Entrepreneur Pathway and Graduate Internship Pathway are part of the province’s International Education Stream, which was created previous year as part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Renewal Program. 

What is International Student Entrepreneur Pathway?

This pathway is for international graduates who have completed a minimum two-year program at a Manitoba post-secondary institution and wants to establish and operate a business in Manitoba.

The selected candidates under the International Student Entrepreneur Pathway will get a temporary work permit that is valid for two years.

What is Graduate Internship Pathway?

The Graduate Internship Pathway is for international students who have completed either a Master’s or Doctoral degree at a University in Manitoba within three years and an eligible internship.
