Quebec conducted two draws since the launch of the Arrima system. The province invited 950 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate. The result information was updated late on the Ministry of Immigration. The most recent Quebec draw was conducted on July 17 issuing 259 invitations to the candidates with an Expression of Interest profile and a valid job offer as well as foreign nationals who had to carry out duties in Quebec.
The first draw took place on July 14 that invited 691 applicants who had:
- Their application for a Quebec Selection Certificate terminated on June 16, 2019, and was a temporary resident of Quebec when they had applied or
- Their application for a Quebec Selection Certificate terminated on June 16, 2019, and was working or studying in Quebec at that time
- An Arrima profile and filed an Expression of Interest with the Minister before Dec 17, 2019
The canceled applications had all been filed before Arrima was introduced in September 2018
To apply for Quebec immigration the skilled worker program must first submit an Expression of Interest through Arrima. The department reviews the applications and issue invitations to the candidates who meet specific criteria based on the province labour needs.
Number of invitations are expected between now and January 16, 2020.
