The immigration level of Canada is on the
rise for both provincial and federal level. The need of skilled workers is
leading provinces in inviting more migrants.
The Government of Canada has target of
330,800 new admissions for 2019 Canadian Immigration plan, an increase of
nearly seven percent over 2018’s target of 310,000.
The Immigration Plans by Canadian
government has been released for three consecutive years for economic, family
and refugee programs. The intake level is increased by 13 percent between 2018
and 2021 from 310,000 to 350,000.
Quebec fixed the immigration level by
around 40,000 over this year. The immigrants who are admitted are successfully
invited into the majority French-Speaking province.
Ontario Increasing Additional PNP Nomination
Ontario is planning to increase the number
of immigrants for next year through its Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program
that enables the skilled workers to come and settle in Ontario.
Ontario is hoping to increase its 2019
nomination allocation to 7,600 that would showcase an increase of 1,000
nominations as compared to the previous year allocation of 6,600.
The demand of Ontario province is strong
and the province continues to receive high immigration applications through
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The number of applications for OINP reached
a record 49,724 in 2017 and its target for 2018 is set at 55,000. The PNP
target is projected to rise again in 2019 to 61,000.
The immigration department of Ontario will
