Canada Express Entry Draw invites 4,250 candidates in the latest Draw

Since July 6, this was the eighth all-program draw. On October 12, 2022, Canada hosted its most recent all-program Express Entry draw. Since they resumed on July 6, it was the eighth all-program draw.

4,250 applicants who received a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 500 received invites from IRCC. Candidates were eligible to obtain invites from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), all of which are Express Entry-accredited programs.

Beginning in December 2020, Express Entry all-program drawings were suspended for a period of more than 18 months. Only those who qualified for the CEC or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) received invitations to apply throughout the hiatus (ITAs). Due to a backlog of applications brought on by COVID-19-related travel restrictions, the draws were put on hold. The IRCC has paused the draws for the Canadian Experience Class in September 2021.

Lower CRS scores were continued in today's draw. It increases the number of candidates who are qualified to acquire ITAs through Express Entry by reducing the CRS score. Since drawings began again on July 6, this has been the pattern. Smaller drops of six points occurred in the two most recent draws on September 14 and September 28.

Expected soon: a new immigration levels plan

As part of the Immigration Levels Plan 2022–2024, IRCC hopes to reach its goal of adding 432,000 new permanent residents. Every year, the IRCC publishes a new plan year that details the estimated number of immigrants Canada expects to receive over the next three years and further breaks down each immigration category and program. The Immigration Levels Plan's express entry goal for 2022 is 55,900 new permanent residents. Through Express Entry programs, Canada has so far accepted just over 28,000 new permanent residents between January and August 31. By November 1 of this year, a new Immigration Levels Plan is anticipated to be released.

Now, medical professionals can apply for Express Entry.

A few of the obstacles that prevented physicians from applying for Express Entry programs while they were already temporarily residing and working in Canada have already been addressed by Canada.

Because Canada's medical system frequently operates on a "fee-for-service" approach, which differs from a standard employer/employee relationship, doctors were not qualified. Therefore, technically speaking, doctors are regarded as self-employed. Experience working for oneself that was acquired in Canada is ineligible to be included in an Express Entry application.

Check Canada Express Entry Points Here

Being self-employed alone does not disqualify a candidate. An applicant may still be qualified for an Express Entry program if they have at least one year of work experience in Canada or overseas.

Upcoming changes to Express Entry

One of the first modifications to Express Entry that will likely last through 2023 is the exclusion of doctors. In contrast to the current system, which issues ITAs to a wide range of candidates solely on the basis of their CRS scores, Bill C-19, which received Royal Assent in Parliament in June, will give IRCC more authority to target Express Entry candidates based on specific work experience, education, or language abilities.

Describe Express Entry

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program all use Express Entry as their applicant management system (FSTP). Candidates for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the Express Entry pool are already qualified for at least one of these schemes.

The Comprehensive Ranking Method (CRS), a points-based system used by Express Entry, ranks candidate profiles. The highest-scoring applicants are given an Invitation to Apply (ITA), after which they can submit a permanent residency application.

Why sign up for the Express Entry pool right now?

As long as Canada continues to strive to accept record-breaking numbers of immigrants, Express Entry draws will grow.

Candidates who are qualified for all programmes may now submit an application for permanent residence thanks to the return of Express Entry drawings.

A total of 1,500 Express Entry applicants were asked by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to submit applications for permanent residence on July 6. The CRS score of the conducted round went as high as 557 points.

In the final all-program draw before the halt, held on December 23, 2020, IRCC distributed 5,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs). After that, only lotteries for applicants to the PNP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were conducted by IRCC. After September 21, 2021, draws for CEC candidates were suspended because IRCC was unable to handle CEC applications within the required six months.

Here are some crucial things to think about if you're debating joining the pool at this time now that Express Entry is back in operation.

In six months, new Express Entry applications will be processed.

According to Sean Fraser, minister of immigration, the IRCC may now process new Express Entry applications in six months.

According to IRCC briefing documents that are available to the public, between September 2021 and February 2022, IRCC was able to get rid of over 50,000 persons from its database. The paper, which had to be signed by March 31, 2022, stated that while IRCC's Express Entry inventory is sufficient to achieve 2022 levels goals, IRCC would need to start sending invites between July and September in order to fulfil 2023 levels.

Free Canada Immigration Assessment Form

The 2022-2024 Immigration Levels Plan states that the IRCC plans to accept 55,900 Express Entry applicants in 2022 who do not have PNPs. Then, IRCC plans to admit 75,750 of these applicants in 2023. The targets are anticipated to increase to 111,500 by 2024. To reach the 2024 goals, IRCC will need to considerably expand draw sizes well in advance. By November 1, when the new multi-year immigration levels plan must be laid out, these plans may be modified.

All of this to suggest that we are aware that the numbers of viewers for these programmes will keep rising in line with the objectives of the levels plan. The ability of IRCC to uphold this criterion and Canada's need for immigrants will probably continue to have an impact on draw sizes.

Immigrants are a requirement in Canada

The urgency of Canada's need for immigrants is highlighted by the most current snapshot of the country's labour market. In June, there were fewer persons looking for work and fewer people aged 55 and over were employed, which contributed significantly to a decline in Canada's labour force. In addition, Canada now has about 1 million open positions, many of which are summer work.

The 9 million baby boomers in Canada will begin to retire this decade, as was widely anticipated. According to a recent RBC survey, one-third of Canadians are retiring early, and three out of ten of those who are already retired are delaying their retirement date due to the pandemic.

The fertility rate in Canada also fell, reaching a record low of 1.4 children per woman in 2020. A population must reproduce at a rate of 2.1 children for every woman. Below that, the new generation of Canadians who are citizens by birth will not be sufficient to replace the retiring workers.

Increasing the number of immigrants in a country is one strategy for addressing the labour deficit. Canada plans to increase immigration each year to increase its population by around 1%. Most of these immigrants are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Express Entry has been the primary route for new immigrants up until last year. By 2024, Express Entry will be the primary programme once more, according to the current levels plan.

Reforms to be made

Canada recently passed a measure that will enable the immigration minister to invite Express Entry candidates based on an economic objective, signalling the impending arrival of reforms. Because immigrants who are invited to apply through the Express Entry system are selected based on an economic necessity, Minister Fraser has stated that he anticipates an increase in the retention rates for these immigrants.

These drawings may be based on a candidate's career, language proficiency, or region, although there haven't been many specifics provided.

PNPs can improve your grade.

If you qualify for Express Entry, being in the pool may give you the opportunity to receive an invitation to submit an application for Canadian immigration. Additionally, it might make it possible for you to qualify for a provincial nomination, which would raise your CRS score by 600 points and put you at the top of the Express Entry pool. Even if a candidate's CRS score falls below 400, Canadian provinces may still invite them to submit an application for a provincial nomination. For instance, Alberta has been known to extend invitations to applicants with scores as low as 300.

For a whole year, the Express Entry pool will accept your profile. You have this time to improve your CRS score in order to raise your chances of getting an ITA.

Although there are no guarantees in Canadian immigration, Express Entry gives you the opportunity to become eligible for permanent residency six months after you apply.

To determine whether your profile meets all the required parameters to enter Express Entry you need to first confirm your eligibility.

IRCC awarded 1500 invites in the recent draw with 557 CRS.

In the most recent Canada Express Entry Draw, which was held on July 6th, 2022, ministerial orders approved invitations for permanent residency in Canada under the Express Entry system.

For the first time since December 2020, Canada has extended invitations to applicants for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).

Candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were also selected in today's Express Entry draw. Since September 2021, CEC applicants haven't been selected in an Express Entry draw until now.

A total of 1,500 Express Entry candidates received invitations from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to submit applications for permanent residence. The cutoff score for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 557.

The tie-breaking rule is said to be implemented dates: November 13, 2021.

Minister's remarks regarding today's drawing.

Canada's Minister of Immigration, Sean Fraser, stated the following in a written statement to CIC News:

"Today, I'm happy to report that Express Entry draws have begun in full and that applications will be handled in accordance with our 6-month processing norm. I want to express my gratitude to the applicants from all over the world for their tolerance while we worked to clear the backlog before starting new Express Entry lotteries. In order to overcome Canada's labour shortfall, it will be crucial to welcome talented workers.

Why today's draw is significant

For a number of reasons, the restoration of all-program draws is important. The Federal Skilled Worker Program was the foremost strategy utilized by Canada to invite talented outsiders from its origin in 1967 until 2020. The FSWP made up around 45% of all applicants who were given an Express Entry ITA before the epidemic.

Another important development for CEC candidates is the resumption of all-program drawings. The CEC is the main route for Canada's sizable population of foreign workers and students seeking permanent residency. Since Canada has relied on this pool to meet its immigration level goals, the CEC has gained notoriety.

Just 9% of the 341,000 immigrants accepted into Canada under the economic, familial, and humanitarian categories combined made up the CEC prior to the pandemic. Nearly a third of the more than 405,000 immigrants who arrived in Canada last year were members of the CEC.

8,773 candidates with a CRS score of 501-600 and 669 people with a CRS score of 601-1200 are in the Express Entry pool. The quickest and most economical method for moving to Canada in a half year, on the off chance that you complete every one of the circumstances is through Canada Express Entry.

For each welcoming round, the ensuing guidelines apply:

1. The invitation was made public on the Canadian government's website at the time of the event.

2. Employing the Express Entry process, candidates are added to a pool.

The following guidelines must be followed:

1.  Time and Date of the draw

2.  How many people in total will be contacted?

3. Identify any immigration schemes that should be taken into consideration for the round, such as the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Candidates are urged to use the IRCC's Canada Express Entry website to submit their Canada PR applications later. To fully understand all of Canada's immigration requirements, applicants need to stay up to date on Canadian immigration news.
