Every two weeks or so, the Canadian government holds an Express Entry draw. The anticipated date for the upcoming Canada Express Entry draw is August 31, 2022.
Express entry is the fastest and most popular immigration program for Canada PR Visas. It is an application management system that was initially launched in 2015. It manages the profiles of immigrants who have applied for a PR visa under one of three federal economic immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Trades Program;
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Class for Canadian Experience
Based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, express entry profiles are ranked within the pool. The top-ranked profiles receive ITAs (Invitations to Apply), which they must use to submit their PR visa applications to Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Canada conducts express entry draws every two weeks or so. Two entry draws are typically held each month.
All immigrants seeking to immigrate to Canada permanently keep a close eye on the results of the Canada Express entrance draw.
When will the following express entry draw occur?
Express Entry draws typically take place on Wednesdays once every two weeks. Canada uses program-specific express entry draws to target CEC candidates and Express Entry candidates with provincial nomination because of COVID-19. By doing this, Canada gives candidates who are already citizens of the country priority.

Impact of COVID-19 on Express Entry
Invitations for PR Visas are still being issued by Canada. Invitations have, however, only been extended to applicants who have received provincial or CEC nominations as of January 2021.
According to IRCC, a request for papers that is incomplete because of COVID-19 will not be rejected.
If your Canada PR visa application is due, you can still submit it even if some of the required documents are missing. Just be sure to add a letter of explanation explaining why the missing documents are needed. You have 90 days to finish the application stages that are still unfinished from IRCC.
