Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Draw For Nurses On February 8, 2022.

This stream is designed to meet the demands of our rapidly changing labour market. As a result, as the demands of our labour market change, so does what Nova Scotia look for in applications. At the time of your application, you must fulfil the demands of the current labour market. These are available on the website of the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration (NSOI). Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) must admit you into their Express Entry intake system before you may apply to this stream. Express Entry candidates who fulfil our province's current goals get letters of interest from the province of Nova Scotia. Before you may apply to this stream, you must have a letter of interest.

Only persons who fulfil particular labour market demands as outlined on the website are eligible for this stream. In addition, applicants must obtain a Letter of Interest from us (NSOI) and be enrolled in the IRCC's Express Entry online system.

If you match all of the criteria given below, the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities track may be perfect for you.

  • You have an Express Entry profile number that is valid.
  • You expressed an interest in relocating to Nova Scotia in your Express Entry profile.
  • You received a letter from us expressing your interest in working with us (NSOI).
  • You fulfil the standards in force at the time the Letter of Interest was sent to you.
  • You have the required job experience for the Express Entry stream for which you have been selected.
  • You performed at least 51% of the major responsibilities listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for your job throughout your work experience.
  • In the nation where you are presently residing, you have documentation of your immigration status.
  • You can demonstrate that you can sustain yourself and your family.
  • You aim to make Nova Scotia your home.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE CRITERIA FOR THE NURSES DRAW ON FEBRUARY 8, 2022. 

  • Be a registered nurse or a registered mental nurse as their primary vocation (NOC 3012)
  • Provide letters of recommendation from employers, as stated in the application guidance, to show that they have three years of experience as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse.
  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 9 or above in English or French in all language abilities, as proven by the results from an authorized language exam by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
  • Have earned a bachelor's degree OR finished a three-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or another establishment.
  • Submit your application by March 10, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
  • Kind Note* With your application, you must send copies of language exams and proof of education equivalent to a bachelor's degree or higher. If your educational certificate was gained outside of Canada, you must provide an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report provided by an agency authorized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
