Indians Searched More Canadian Jobs than U.S., Says Study

Canada’s booming tech sector might be the reason for the rise in job searches from India.

As per the recent study, many skilled and qualified workers from India are looking for work opportunities in Canada over the United States, with top-most searches in the tech jobs. 

The popular job site, indeed says the recent Canada’s share of job searches from India has been risen from six to 13 percent between August 2016 and July 2018. 

In the same period of job searches from India for employment opportunities in the United States drop from 60 to 50 per cent, “with Canada picking up most of the displaced interest.”

The research drop of US was the largest among other countries that were analyzed, Indeed reports suggested. The study saw cross-border job searches from 58 countries over the two-year period, with a particular focus on job searches targeting Canada and the U.S.

The top 10 job searches from India includes business analyst, software developer, web developer, java developer, software engineer and data analyst, the report also added that rising interest in Canada could be the driving force of the increased tech industry.
