IELTS is mandatory language testing exam that all applicants are required to give, irrespective of program they are applying to for Canada permanent residence visa.
The minimum score that is required to be scored for candidates applying under Express Entry System, is 6 bands in each module. The four modules are- Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading.
Note that this is the minimum requirement as demanded by express entry system. For a better prospect of getting selected from the Express Entry Pool is scoring close or equal to 7 bands in speaking, writing and reading and 8 bands in listening. This sums up to CLB 9.
