What is the BC PNP point calculator?
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a program designed by BC Govt. to allow the province of British Columbia to nominate eligible foreign skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and graduates to immigrate and settle in the province.
The BC PNP uses a points-based system called the BC PNP points system, which is used to evaluate applicants who wish to apply for BC PNP under its various streams such as Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories.

The points system assigns scores to various factors, including education, work experience, language ability, and other factors that may be relevant to a candidate's ability to successfully settle in British Columbia.
The BC PNP points grid is designed to identify candidates who are most likely to succeed in the labor market and contribute to the province's economic growth. The factors considered under the BC PNP points system may vary depending on the category under which a candidate is applying, but typically include the following:
- Education
- Work experience
- Language ability
- Age
- Employment offer or other connections to British Columbia
- Adaptability factors, such as previous work or study experience in Canada, family connections, or community ties
Please note, Candidates who score the minimum required points may be invited to apply for the program, but meeting the minimum score does not guarantee an invitation to BC PNP.
The BC PNP points system is designed to ensure that the program selects candidates who have the best chance of succeeding in British Columbia's labour market and contributing to the province's economic growth.
