British Columbia Draw held on 7 Feb Invites 245 applications

On February 7th, there was a general and a targeted draw for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

The province sent out 245 invitations to apply (ITAs) for general candidates and at least 38 ITAs for professions that were specifically targeted.

There are provincial nominee programs (PNP) in every province (except Quebec and Nunavut), which are ways for provincial governments to nominate foreign nationals with specialized skills to immigrate to their province and fill labor shortages.

It is predicted that Express Entry-managed programs will be replaced by the PNP in 2024. The PNP has significantly enhanced Canadian immigration programs as a means for foreign workers to migrate to Canada.
