BC PNP conducts first tech draw on the 10th Jan, 2023

This was the second BC PNP Draw of the year 2023 in the month of January. If we observe the last two draws conducted by BC PNP, we can predict the BC PNP 2023 draw is likely to be conducted once every week.

BC PNP is the first PNP to conduct the draw in 2023. While the previous draw conducted on 4th January 2023 was for the General NOCs and Targeted NOCs this draw was for the targeted tech NOCs and other targeted occupations where 123 tech applicants were given the invitation to apply with the minimum score of 90 points whereas fewer than 5 individuals were called for NOC 42202 with the minimum score of 60. 17 invites were shared for the Healthcare professionals having a minimum score of 60 and who meet the eligibility criteria for BC PNP and fewer than 5 applicants were given invitations from other priority occupations.

BC PNP tech application process

The National Occupation Classification (NOC) code requirements for one of the 29 in-demand occupations must be met in order for a foreign national to apply for the BC PNP Tech program. If the applicant satisfies this condition, they can start the application process by creating a profile on BC PNP Online.

After registering their profile, applicants can proceed with the BC Skills Immigration program's application process if they qualify. Those that apply for the BC PNP Tech enjoy a variety of benefits when going through the provincial nomination process.

First, for qualified Tech candidates, new rounds of invitations to apply are sent out every week. Second, candidates' PNP applications will be handled more quickly. Last but not least, firms can use the "concierge services" offered by the Tech program to get help employing foreign nationals.
